Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Ait Benhaddou - Dades Valley

Pick up at 08 am from your hotel/Riad in Marrakech, your driver/guide will take for an interesting journey of a lifetime experience down to the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi. Drive through the High-Atlas Mountains with its breathtaking views that catch the eyes offering great opportunities for taking pictures. You will notice how “Berber” Villages that are built in adobe & stones will allow you to sample the unique lifestyle of its inhabitants.

After driving through the spectacular Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2260 m), you will arrive in the dramatic village of Ait Benhaddou. This UNESCO listed village consists of many Kasbahs (fortresses) goes back to the 11th century being in the strategic location as a commercial center for the former caravan route. It’s optional to have a tour around with a local tour guide; otherwise, you can easily explore the village on your own.

After lunch, you will continue on the track to the Dades Valley driving through the palm-dotted oasis of Skoura, then the lush valley of Roses where you may want to include a short break to learn about the different products including perfumes, cosmetics, rose-water and much more.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad, you will head further southeast to Merzouga desert. Include a break in the impressive Todra Gorge (canyon) where you will stretch your legs while enjoying the stunning views. After lunch, you will continue on the track driving through Erfoud where we may include a visit to the dates’ market so that you can form an idea about the different varieties of dates that are known in the region.

Upon arrival in the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, you will have a camel ride experience while enjoying the breathtaking views of the sunset. Later, you will have a delicious meal for dinner in our tented restaurant or under the stars. Stretch your legs in the sand watching the stars that illuminate the horizons. Spend the night in your private ensuite tent.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Nkob - Ouarzazate

Today, you will wake up in the early morning to attend the majestic view of the sunrise over the sand dunes. Have breakfast before heading back to Marrakech through Nkob with its countless Kasbahs. Spend the night in a comfortable hotel/Riad in Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa).

Day 4: Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad, you will drive to Marrakech through the High-Atlas Mountains while including a visit to the Atlas Film Studios where many Hollywood Movies were filmed such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Cleopatra, Lawrence of Arabia, Prince of Persia and much more. We will include many breaks for you to take pictures and enjoy the stunning views, and end our tour 4 Days Marrakech to Merzouga Desert
