Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

Early pick up from your accommodation in Fes at 07:30 am, take the journey south while including a stop in the charming city of Ifrane where you may want to chill out & enjoy the beauty of the city. Ifrane is often called the Switzerland Moroccan version city because of the unique architecture it has acquired because of the heavy snow it receives every winter. Have another break in the UNESCO preserved cedar forest that hosts a colony of the endangered Babary Macaques.

After having lunch in Midelt or in Zaida center, you will cross the spectacular High-Atlas Mountains with its snaky road but picturesque. Enjoy the panoramic view of the Ziz Valley before arriving to the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi through Erfoud. Now, it is time to go for the camel ride experience before the sunset takes place as the miraculous views of the sunset while you are on the camelback is one of the highlights of this desert trip.

You dinner will be served in our luxury desert camp’s restaurant or under the stars. You may want to stretch your legs to watch the stars that illuminate the sky before returning to bed in your private tent for a nice sleep to get ready for the next day’s adventure.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley

Today, you will wake early in the morning as you can’t miss the miraculous view of the sunrise over the majestic sand dune. Have your breakfast under the sunlight or inside our restaurant, take a refreshing shower and head to the lush Dades Valley. You will include a visit to a local factory in the city of Erfoud where the excavation of fossils to the polishing process takes place turning them into beautiful shapes.

You will have time to stretch your legs on the impressive Todra Gorge (canyon) with its high cliffs that have attracted mountain climbers from all over the world along with locals seeking cooler weather. You will then continue on the track to the Dades Valley, which we will reach in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech

After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad, you will resume your journey to Marrakech. Have a short break in the lush valley of the Roses where you can learn about its products such as perfumes, rose-water, cosmetics and much more. You will cross the city of Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) with its Atlas Film Studios where many national and international films have been shot like Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Prince of Persia and many others.

Later, you will explore the Ait Benhaddou Village, which is listed by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It consists of many Kasbahs (fortresses) with its high walls, small windows and doors. It served as an important commercial center connecting Marrakech to the Sahara when the caravans used to traverse the Sahara for commercial purposes.

After lunch, you will continue on the track to Marrakech while including many breaks for taking pictures and chilling out. You will have a cross the spectacular High-Atlas Mountains over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m) before reaching Marrakech in the late afternoon. and end tour 3 Days From Fes To Marrakech
